Alright, so its really hard to keep up on the blog concidering that I am always doing something or other here in New York. For instance, just yesterday I decided to go down to little Italy with Brian and his friend Luca to check out the San Gennaro Festival. Its a celebration of a saint (obviously) and it is held around the world for two weeks every year. The one in New York is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) and it attracts people from all over the world. Luca tells me that its a little touristy and not to many actual Italian go to it, but its still a really great time and is at least partially authentic. They basically have food stands for about a mile on Mulberry street at the heart of Little Italy. There’s all types of Italian food including pizza, sausage, zeppos, calamari, cannoli, and whatever else your hear desires. We tried almost everything despite the crazy prices that they were charging. They also had a bunch of carnival games. I tried out the drown the clown thing where you have to hit a target and dunk the clown in the water and I almost got him a couple of times but I guess in the end the clown always wins. It was still fun to see and hear all of these Italian guys yelling at everyone and everything. I have to say that Little Italy is pretty cool and I will have to check it out again when the crowds are not as bad as they were for the festival.
